About the Publisher

Andrew Morkes is the founder and editorial director of College & Career Press LLC in Chicago, Illinois. He has written about college- and career-related topics for nearly 30 years. Andrew is the author of more than 60 books about college planning and careers, including many titles in the Vault Career Guides series (including Law, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology, and Information Technology); Mason Crest’s Careers in the Building Trades, Getting Started; and Cool Careers in Science series; College Readiness: The Vault Guide for High School Freshmen and Sophomores; College Readiness: The Vault Guide for High School Juniors and Seniors; and They Teach That in College!?: A Resource Guide to More Than 100 Interesting College Majors, which was selected as one of the best books of the year by the library journal Voice of Youth Advocates. He is also the author and publisher of “The Morkes Report: College and Career Planning Trends” blog. Andrew is a member of the parent advisory board at his son’s school. He is also the author of Nature in Chicagoland: More Than 120 Fantastic Nature Destinations That You Must Visit. Articles about Andrew’s work have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Practical Homeschooling, and other publications.
